Dairy farmers needed a simple, offline-first mobile app that non-tech-savvy users could operate in the field. The app had to handle complex calculations for milk yield, feed ratios, profit margins, and inventory automatically while syncing seamlessly with the main web platform.
We built the mobile app using React Native with TypeScript, leveraging Firebase and Cloud Firestore for real-time offline persistence and automatic sync. The app connects to the same ASP.NET Core backend as the web platform, sharing the same multi-tenant architecture, JWT authentication, and role-based access controls. Core features include offline-capable data entry, real-time milk production tracking, animal health records, breeding calendars, financial overviews, and barcode scanning for inventory — all with an icon-driven interface requiring minimal text input.
