The healthcare client needed a HIPAA-aware platform that could manage real-time slot availability across dozens of doctors, send automated reminders, handle cancellations and rescheduling, and provide a clean patient-facing experience.
We used React for a fast, interactive frontend and Node.js with PostgreSQL on the backend. Real-time slot management was implemented using WebSockets. An automated notification system sends SMS and email reminders to both doctors and patients before each appointment.
